Vanessa Olson is a Digital Literacy Instructor and an Administrative Assistant with the NDEC, having started as a volunteer tutor in 2020.

Born and raised in California, Vanessa graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in art, and has lived in rural Maine since 2012. She has a background in tutoring, administrating a nonprofit, working at a local radio station, farming, and floristry. She enjoys gardening, creating art, and exploring the beauty of the local trails and waterways.

She’s dedicated to promoting inclusion, equality and empowerment through the NDEC, using technology to expand access, connectivity, and creativity for all participants.
