NDEC Washington County Tribal & Older Adult Devices Program

Please complete the form below to refer someone to this program for either a wireless Android tablet or a refurbished Windows 10 laptop.  Please let your applicant know to expect a call from the National Digital Equity Center.  For older adults in Washington County there are age and income qualifications.  For tribal members, they must be residents of Pleasant Point or Indian Township, however, there are no age or income qualifications.  Please contact us at NDEC by emailing dnmgmt@digitalequitycenter.org if you have questions about whether someone is an appropriate referral to this program.

Once the individual has completed the required Digital Skills classes, we will send the device to them as well as a certificate of ownership.

  • If you are an NDEC employee, please enter NDEC Digital Navigator
  • We will email or call you if we have questions about the referral.
  • If this person does not yet have an email address, an NDEC Digital Navigator will help them create one on their device and completion of Email Basics will be included in their Digital Skills Success Plan
Please make sure that the applicant knows that as part of their Digital Skills Success Plan, a Digital Navigator can assist them in applying for the ACP benefit if eligible.
Please note that if this is a non-tribal Washington County older adult and they are not eligible for the ACP due to income, they will not be eligible to receive a device.
Please note, if this is an experienced technology user, they can take Android or Windows 10 Intermediate in place of the Basics class for their device. This class must be taken in its online interactive format.
Shut-ins at Pleasant Point will take their classes in an online interactive format with the help of their digital navigator. All other applicants are expected to take their classes at a nearby Partner Onsite location.
You can expand on your answer to this question in the spaces below if you wish.
  • NDEC Digital Navigator's meet with individuals one-on-one only at Partner Onsite Class locations to assist with specific limited Digital Skills after taking the classes in their Digital Skills Success Plans. These limited one-on-one appointments cannot take the place of the required classes. Participants can take classes as many times as they like and can take as many free classes as they would like.
