The National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) is recruiting 20 ten-hour per week positions to teach digital literacy skills throughout all 16 counties in Maine. Combining multiple 10-hour positions may be considered.
Digital Literacy Instructor Benefits
Digital Literacy Instructors will receive $20.00/hour x 52 weeks = $10,400 per year for each 10-hour position. Digital Literacy Instructors must teach on average six hours of class sessions per week. Other benefits include a wide range of training and networking opportunities.

Qualifications
We are looking for staff with the following qualifications:
- Experience teaching basic computer and internet skills to adult learners
- Ability to work remotely and independently, communicating with supervisors and other staff primarily via online modalities such as video-conferencing
- A passion to make a difference in bridging the digital divide for rural Maine
This position also requires:
- Travel to class locations in rural Maine with little to no public transportation available
- Your own transportation with auto liability insurance and valid Driver’s License
- A Smartphone with adequate reception in region served
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years’ old
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must pass the National Service Criminal History Check process
